One very effective form of reducing your anxiety is Imagery. Whenever your anxiety proves to be too irritating, try to distract your mind and imagine yourself lying on a beach; with each wave, that comes up to your neck, try and visualize each receding wave, pulling away with it,every ounce of strain that is haunting you. As an alternative picture you can visualize your anxieties trapped in a helium-filled balloon, tied to a string. They can be further visualized as desperately trying to come out and get you as you untie the string, they are carried away far from you almost out from your vision beyond the horizon.
